Once the reinsurance placement process begins, our client relationships move to a higher level. Our global client service teams reflect the specialty and regional needs of each client. Each Guy Carpenter account team works in tandem with a client service team to keep reinsurance programs operating as they should, with claims paid promptly, inquiries handled expeditiously and reports delivered on time.

We offer a broad array of specialized client services. Guy Carpenter is one of the few intermediaries to provide complete client service capabilities for facultative as well as treaty reinsurance programs. Only Guy Carpenter has a unit dedicated solely to managing clients' complex asbestos and environmental claims.

Our commitment to protecting our clients' interests does not end when the reinsurance program is placed - it is only the beginning. As our relationship continues, we work to resolve claim payment disputes throughout the claims collection and settlement process.


Services
Accounts
We keep our clients' accounts accurate and current throughout the term of their programs by continually tracking, calculating and processing a range of data including premiums, cash calls and commissions. We quickly reconcile clients' accounting activities and provide them with clear, informative summaries via an automated accounts processing system. We strive to address and resolve all queries on treaties and perform as your advocate.

Claims
By developing strategies for improved loss reporting and claims processing, we can help significantly reduce the frequency of inquiries and enhance the turnaround of your reinsurance dollars. We process claims quickly and efficiently, employing a fully automated reinsurance claim system utilizing image technology.

As the premier intermediary, we can help resolve difficult claims or issues that may develop between you and reinsurers. We also provide expert consultation and claims assistance in the area of environmental claims, including asbestos, drug/pharmaceutical, pollution and other toxic tort claims.

Contract Wordings
We provide a solid foundation for servicing programs by melding time-proven terminology with new language that reflects the impact of emerging legal and social developments. Our senior contract technical specialists provide input on complicated wordings and industry/regulatory trends.

We keep clients up-to-date by continuously monitoring contract progress through a comprehensive tracking system. We lead the broker market with our contract at placement efforts. We also monitor regulatory developments and stay abreast of other new developments in contract terminology through our involvement with major industry groups like BRMA, NAIC and RAA.

Settlement
Our collection and disbursement activities are focused on settling clients' claims quickly and efficiently so that the true value of their reinsurance program is realized. We track and monitor claims collection and analyze reinsurers' payment performances using a sophisticated claim management database. Additionally, we facilitate statutory compliance and expedite claim payments for clients dealing internationally through an automated LOC system linked with London.
