This year Assistant Vice President Julianna Muir earned the Award for Academic Excellence for her exceptional performance in the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) Program. This industry award is given every year to two graduates with outstanding cumulative grade averages on the ARe exams.

The ARe program, which is presented by the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA), is a key component of Guy Carpenter's Analyst Development Program (ADP). The ARe teaches reinsurance practices and principles, providing students with an enhanced understanding of reinsurance terms and pricing, reinsurance treaties and facultative certificates. Students also develop the skills necessary to design a reinsurance program.

Julianna works in property/casualty treaty broking in Guy Carpenter's New York office. She was recruited into the ADP in February 2005, following her graduation from Middlebury College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
