Marsh Tool Helps Businesses Evaluate ESG Practices

Marsh Asia’s Graeme Riddell, Climate and Sustainability Leader, joins The Afternoon Update with Rachel Kelly radio program in Singapore to discuss the growing need for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact measurement, and the fundamental challenges for Asian businesses trying to measure ESG performance.

Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan, has released an assessment tool for organizations to help determine their baseline and set goals for ESG initiatives.

“There’s a lot of data out there, and it gets complicated quickly,” Graeme said. “Making sure that you have the tools that give you the granularity for how climate change might impact your business, both from a carbon perspective and also an extreme weather perspective, is really important. You want to be able to explain that to your investors—both what your risks are [and]  how you’re managing it.”

Working in tandem with Marsh McLennan businesses Marsh, Oliver Wyman and Mercer, Guy Carpenter provides such services as transition risk modeling, climate investment portfolio modeling, asset-level resilience surveys and scoring, and commercial due diligence.
