Ed Hochberg
Head of Structured Solutions
Ed Hochberg is the Head of Structured Solutions for Marsh Re (formerly Guy Carpenter). Based in Philadelphia, he oversees the unit that advises clients on capital, volatility, and complex risk transfer issues in this capacity. He is a member of the Marsh Re Operating Committee.
From 2015 to 2019, Ed was the CEO of JLT Re North America. Ed was previously Global Head of Analytics, Banking and Advisory at JLT Re, having joined as part of the 2013 Towers Watson Re acquisition.
Before joining Towers Watson in 2003, Ed was a Senior Vice President of financial products for PMA Re with responsibility for PMA Re’s non-traditional underwriting unit. Before this position, he served as Vice President of finance for PMA Re and PMA Capital Corporation, with responsibility for the corporate finance and accounting functions and special transactions, and outwards reinsurance purchasing. Before PMA companies, he was an audit manager with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Philadelphia, serving insurance companies, public utilities, and retail clients. From 2000 to 2003, Ed served on the Board of Directors of Cathedral Capital PLC, a Lloyds of London underwriting and managing agency company.
Ed is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
