Jana Magnussen
Chief People Officer
Jana Magnussen is the Chief People Officer for Marsh Re (formerly Guy Carpenter). She is a member of Marsh Re's Executive Committee and is responsible for executing on the Marsh Re global talent strategy across the region. Jana joined Marsh through the acquisition of Kirke-Van Orsdel, Inc., in 1999, as the HR Leader of the Marsh Risk Consumer and Commercial division. Before moving to Marsh Re, Jana was the human resources leader for Marsh Risk US and Canada.
Jana has over 25 years of Human Resources experience to include executive coaching, leadership development, colleague engagement, talent management, compensation, human capital analysis and process improvement. She strives to build an inclusive environment that respects and values all colleagues.
Jana attended the American Institute of Business and Upper Iowa University, where she majored in Business Management. Jana holds her Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designations as well as certifications in Spectiv 360 Assessment Advising and Predictive Index and Insights Discovery behavioral assessments.
