CEO, North America

John J. Trace is CEO of North America and Global Chief Broking Officer at Marsh Re (formerly Guy Carpenter), overseeing global growth strategy, sales, distribution, and analytics to drive growth. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee.

John has also led Marsh Re's Global Facultative Operations. Prior to this role, he was President, US and was responsible for Marsh Re's New York Metro Treaty Region. His expertise lies in specialty and alternative reinsurance products, including captives, risk retention groups and programs.

The opportunities that lie ahead will require us to think about risks in terms of going beyond what we currently know and what we can measure.
