Will Garland

President, Centers of Excellence, North America

Will Garland serves as the President of Centers of Excellence, North America, for Marsh Re (formerly Guy Carpenter) and is a member of the Marsh Re Operating Committee.

Based in New York, Will oversees the Centers of Excellence (COEs) at Marsh Re, which are dedicated to driving business innovation and delivering product-specific insights. In this capacity, he collaborates closely with the Analytics and Strategic Advisory teams to provide value-added solutions to clients.

Throughout his career at Marsh Re, Will has concentrated more heavily on the casualty sector, with a particular focus on the financial lines and cyber lines, acting as the account executive for numerous global placements in these areas. Prior to his current role, he led the Financial Lines and Casualty COEs and served as the Casualty Manager for the New York office. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he also manages large accounts as a Global Account Executive.

Before joining Marsh Re in 1996, Will held various positions at Prudential Financial in Roseland and Newark, New Jersey.

Will earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Loyola University Maryland and an MBA in finance from Fordham University.
