In this interview with Insurance Insider, Vicky Carter, Chairman, Global Capital Solutions, discusses how the insurance industry needs to do more to keep younger colleagues “inspired, energized and educated.”
Vicky, who is also Deputy Chair of Lloyd’s, spoke ahead of the Marsh Rising Professional Global Forum on June 24 and 25. She maintained that it is imperative to sell the next generation of financial professionals on careers in the insurance sector.
“Things like this are so important because we just don’t do enough stuff for the younger people in the industry,” Vicky said. “We all complain that we don’t attract people in, and we all complain that people leave. Well, we need to do more. We have an obligation to that generation to make them aware of how exciting this industry is.”
