- Super Typhoon Bavi is the second super typhoon for the 2026 Western North Pacific season. It formed east of the Marshall Islands around June 25, 2026, and traveled in a northwest direction, passing Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, the Philippines, Japan, and Taiwan before making landfall in mainland China on July 11.
- Bavi struck Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands on July 6 as a Category 5, causing widespread damage.
- As it passed north and east of the Philippines and Taiwan, it weakened to Category 1 before making landfall near Yuhuan City, in Zhejiang province of mainland China.
- Bavi brought extremely heavy rainfall to the Philippines, Taiwan and China, causing flooding and landslides.
