In this video interview with Asia Insurance Review, Ben Dunnett, Head of Retro, Global Specialties, Asia Pacific, talked about the retrocession market in APAC, as well as how it might look in upcoming years.
“I think there’s a broad consensus, certainly over the last couple of renewals, that the market is no longer a hard market,” Ben explained. “And I think that the consensus went very quickly from anecdotal evidence, from sitting with underwriters who were talking about their portfolios, and moved into something we could see statistically.”
